Some thoughts from Sarah tonight.
On Sunday we flew to the province of Isaan and drove to the district of Kalasin. Isaan consists of many farming communities and is one of the poorest regions in Thailand. In Kalasin we have been visiting with a missionary couple from Switzerland who have been living in Thailand for close to 25 years. Their mission is focused on reaching out to the people and planting new churches. One of their outreaches is to teach English and at the end of their lesson to have a gospel message. On Monday and today we were able to take part in their outreach. For a few hours in the afternoon we taught English at the local hospital. Helping along with Rolf and Elfie were some members from their church. It was a great opportunity to show the hospital workers that Christianity is not only a Western religion but there are Thai people who believe as well. It is also encouraging to see missionaries working with local Thai people to further God’s Kingdom.
